Features. Known as one of Vermont's most romantic getaway inns, Thatcher Brook Inn is consists of 3 buildings. A Victorian manor house, built in a magnificent fashion in 1899 by lumber baron Stedman Wheeler, was named after the brook flowing surrounding. The guesthouse with its landmark twin gazebo, wraparound facade porch with high back rocking chairs and trellised terraces evoke a genteel mood from New England past. There are fireplaces and antiques throughout the guesthouse. A complimentary full state breakfast is catered in the dining rooms.

Guestrooms. The Main House is home to 16 pleasing rooms for guests, most of them on the 2nd floor. The Carriage House features 2 rooms for guests with gas burning fireplaces, jetted tubs and big sitting districts. The original home of the lumber baron proposes apartments upstairs and downstairs. Every room at the Thatcher Brook Inn, distinctly decorated with comfort in mind, is with taste appointed with antiques. All suites feature air conditioning, a ceiling fan, phone and wi-fi Internet access. Cable tv is obtainable in all apartments except for some of the elegant suites with a hearth. The dainty suites have either a hearth or jetted tub.
