Set amid the rolling mountains, woods and meandering streams of this one of its kind corner of Porter County, Ind., this former farmhouse at Timberlake Farms was once a dairy farm, once a home to thoroughbred horses, and once a quiet hunting lodge. An 18 hole championship hole golf course is next door, and tennis, basketball and ponds are on place. The hotel is only 1 hour from city center Chicago's Gold Coast.
Today, more than 100 years after the cottage was indigenously built, the farmhouse features been thoroughly reconstructed, nicely enlarged and renamed The Inn at Aberdeen. The Inn highlights a magnificent winding staircase, a library with a gulf window and hearth, tanning studio with overstuffed chairs where the sun shines via the turret windows, and the ancient entrance parlor. Visitors able to enjoy a walk via the terraces, take a stroll, jog or ride a bicycle via the lively Village of Aberdeen or down peaceful highways into the nearby village.

The Inn proposes mystery or themed holidays, a supper club and a uniquely elegant and ideally furnished Executive Retreat and Conference Center, featuring a full variety of services and catering. A complimentary full glutton breakfast is catered every day in the morning in the kitchen facing the terraces and aviary. A delicious choice of lunches and refreshments are attainable in the tanning studio all day long. Evening dessert is also included.

Each apartment is traditionally appointed in the Queen Anne fashion. Eight Timberlake rooms feature individual bathrooms with a shower and Jacuzzi, a hearth and a confidential balcony.
