The Days Inn is situated just north of historic city centre Ukiah. City centre Ukiah is popular for its artsy flair with merchandise that is indeed unparalleled and in some cases, one of a kind from local artists. City centre Ukiah is also landlord to a lot of occasions including a weekly Farmers Market, Fabulous Flashback Car Show in September, and the Taste of Downtown featuring local restaurants and wineries in June. City centre is also home to Ukiah Brewing Company & Restaurant which was the 1st certified organic brew pub in the United States. One block north of the Days Inn is the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds which hosts the annual fair in August as well as with a lot of other occasions.

Area sights and activities within a short ride of Ukiah comprise over 40 wineries, two casinos, fishing at Lake Mendocino and the City of Ten Thousand Buddha. The Mendocino Coast and fabulous redwood woods are within a one hour drive from Ukiah.
