TOWER23 is a refreshingly minimalistic, but playful, creative study for the municipal coast resort. Responding to the site's natural elements an surroundings of sun, ocean, sky, and sand at water's edge, a Boardwalk alive with energy set against crashing ocean waves ... a lifestyle wealthy with persons at play, architect Graham Downes sought to create a construction that would capture that dynamic. Bold, white hot, and linear, natural and unfiltered, TOWER23 is a translucent, exquisitely crafted glass box that is at once energetic, a bright, present-day festival of the elements, as nature's light dances on layers of glass by day, which then serves to give a setting that evokes a dramatic "theater of light" from within by night.
