Constructed as a YMCA in 1912 by widely-known architect Horace Trumbauer, this 10-story Georgian revival-style structure will be changed into Le Meridien in Spring 2009. Our central atrium patio with a skylight at the crown of its 75-foot ceiling, and the 90-seat restaurant and 30-seat brasserie encircled by gracious archways and classic woodwork detailing, create a sense of openness and airy simplicity. This 202-room uspcale hotel also features 6, 000 piazza feet of meeting space, including a Grand Ballroom that proposes an dainty environs set off by vistas of Philadelphia's architecturally astonishing City Hall.
