Tranquil location. 3 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in a residential region of North Wildwood, N.J., the Candlelight Inn is situated 10 miles northeast of Cape May. Hotel Features. The Candlelight Inn, built at the turn of the century by New Jersey senator Leaming Rice, is a Queen Anne, Victorian fashion estate. True old amenities and styling of the cottage consists of an 1855 sofa, Eastlake piano, built in oak breakfront, chestnut pocket doors, a 19th century breakfast room apartment and plenty of collectibles. Breakfast is an occasion at the guesthouse, and consists of dishes such as waffles, pancakes, French toast, egg menu and fresh baked breads catered in the major breakfast room. An extensive porch and wraparound veranda with wicker furniture and a porch swing are popular places to relax and unwind. The open-air sundeck features courtyard furniture and a hot tub.

Guestrooms. Individually enhanced with brass or ancient forest beds, every guestroom at the Candlelight Inn is equipped with oak, walnut, pine and mahogany period pieces. Oriental rugs, antique prints and lace give romantic Victorian accents. All rooms for guests have privy bathrooms, and diverse have a double gulf tub.
