General Information

The Joseph Ambler Inn is situated in North Wales, Pa., about 20 miles from historic city centre Philadelphia. Nestled amongst trees and terraces on 12 acres, the land this bed & breakfast was constructed on once belonged to William Penn. The guesthouse is situated 14 miles from Valley Forge National Park and fifteen miles from the National Memorial Arch.
Five disunite building constitute the Joseph Ambler Inn. The original portion of the farmhouse was constructed in 1711 by William Morgan, and additions like the living room, breakfast room and schoolroom were added later. The barn was erected in 1820 by squire John Roberts, and features been fully rejuvenated to contain a restaurant and rooms for guests. The original stonework features been reconstructed, and the double doors to the hayloft are replaced by a French window that extends upwards to give a vista from the 2nd and third floors. The Corybeck, a tenant farmer's house, was constructed in 1929. 2 more buildings, the Thomas Wilson House and the John Roberts House were later purchased and moved to the premises.
