The Burgundy Bed and Breakfast is located in the Faubourg Marigny, New Orleans' French Quarter, a neighborhood which features bounced back after the devastation caused by Hurricane Caterina. This gay hospitable New Orleans Bed & Breakfast is in the immediate vicinity of plenty of jazz clubs, restaurants and pubs on Frenchman avenue, including a lot of of New Orleans' gay and lesbian night spots around Jackson Square. If visiting the New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival, in the hunt of some outstanding live Jazz or intent on enjoying other aspects of the town's colorful nightlife, this Bed & Breakfast is a superb and open-minded spot to visit. Recently repaired in 2004, the property's owner features done his utmost to retain the building's genuine New Orleans feel, preserving the original fireplaces, hardwood floors and high ceilings. Pets are also welcome, provided that the proprietors consent is obtained in good time. The B&B proposes self-sufficient Internet access from its computer, in addition to complimentary over-the-air Internet access throughout and local calls. There is also a jacuzzi and sunbathing region in the patio, where clothing is optional. Smoking is restricted to the rear porch and the patio.
