The Lafayette Hotel, a 1918 historic landmark on modish St Charles Avenue, features been renewed to its former splendor with its original French doors and period wrought iron balconies. The lobby is an exotic melange of Italian marble, forest moldings, English carpets and a French polished mahogany facade table. Upstairs, the 44 suites & suites are luxuriously embellished and accommodated with designer fabrics; the luxury marble baths matched by thoughtful touches such as terry bathrobes and french-milled soaps. As one would expect, the personnel delight in providing a very personified service.
