Maxwell House, situated in the All American Small Town of Mt. Airy, is next to sights and landmarks such as Snappy Lunch, Floyds Barber Shop, the Blue Bird Diner, and Wally's Service station. They are all within an simple amble from the home base in the heartbeat of Downtown on Main Street.

All of the apartments are furnished with antiques from the family home site. 4 of these apartments are the commodious visitor apartments that await your coming. They are authentically renewed to the era of construction and all have privately-owned baths.

Southern cordiality abounds upon your advent at the Maxwell Bed & Breakfast at the Historic Merritt House.

The cottage is patterned with plenty of ample rooms, with ten and 11 foot ceilings, and all with fair oak and pine woodwork. We are a certified Birder Friendly Inn and besides are working towards "Green" certification.
