Hotel Features. This 1884 historic inn was built by Vernon D. Price, a Louisville businessman who eventually catered as the president of the Evening Post. Prime period amenities and hand crafted ornamentation are featured throughout the cottage. Original details comprise stained glass windows, oak woodwork, and intricately hammered brass hardware. The rear porch, the whole with rockers, faces the terraces and a fish pond with a bubbling fountain. The common rooms provide a game desk for playing cards or chess.
