A refuge of heritage superbly conserved, the architecture of the Village is purely Victorian. Perched high atop Packer Hill, the Harry Packer Mansion sits like a sentinel facing the city. The mansion's spectacular front could have been taken from a gothic novel, this is only fitting for the Mansion used as the model for Disney World's Haunted Mansion. The inside however is anything but spooky. Fifteen foot ceilings, marble fireplaces and gilded mirrors of the parlors reflect the chic of the Victorian Age. The visitor lodgings in the manor house and the adjoining Carriage House are adorned with period antiques, sumptuous fabrics, and cautiously selected artwork. As well as offering Bed and Breakfast lodgings the Mansion also hosts Murder Mystery Weekends, Wine Tasting Weekends and peculiar occasions.
