General Information

Serene location. The Hale House Inn is situated in the historic area of Jefferson, Texas, 3 blocks from city center. The Gone with the Wind Museum, which houses an expansive range of memorabilia from this classic 1939 film, including posters, costumes and signatures, is one quarter mile from the premises. Within 15 miles of the hotel are 5 lakes for boating, fishing, swimming and water sports.
Features. This Greek Revival home has period antiques, hardwood floors, ancient mirrors and an old melodia built in 1750. A gazebo and 2 porches face the park, which is bordered by a low brick wall and highlights a tall, stone arch entry. Complimentary full breakfasts are catered every morning in the breakfast room, on the porch or in the gazebo. Homemade cookies, lemonade, soft drinks, hot drinks and fruit are offered throughout the day. Complimentary over-the-air Internet access is obtainable throughout the cottage. 2 ground floor parlors comprise a wide screen tv with satellite channels, hearth, player piano and a chess set. A library stocked with books and magazines is also possible on the ground floor. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms at The Hale House feature privy bathrooms. Lcd televisions with satellite channels are offered in all apartments. The Sportsman Holiday suite stresses a 4 placard bed & an ancient claw foot tub. The Garden View suite is ornamented in dusty blue, and proposes a brass bed, ancient claw foot tub and shower. Fleece blankets and a suede comforter cover the brass bed with a billowing, sheer cloth canopy in the Sonoran Sunset apartment, which also has an old armoire.
