General Information

Guests like sitting in the shade of cottonwood trees planted in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. (03/08 SAL) Rooms are furnished with Native American amenities and fixtures. The lodge sits on the property of a trading post built in 1896, and its situated on the Navajo Reservation in northeastern Arizona. Its snack bar fashion restaurant is situated in the trading posts original building. The all-day buffet serves Native American dishes in addition to mainland cuisine. Adorning the walls of the breakfast room are delightful examples of Navajo rugs and artwork accessible for purchase. In the heart of the dining locality is a cellar like suite that at one time catered as a jail for the trading post. The lodge pink adobe construction is reminiscent of antique pueblos.
