Wine Way Inn Calistoga

General Information

Serene location. The Calistoga Wine Way Inn, situated in Calistoga, Calif., is 4 blocks from the town's historic city centre, home to boutiques, restaurants, mud baths and resorts. The Napa, Sonoma and Russian River wineries are accessible within 25 miles, with the closest wineries available less than one mile from the hotel. The site is 2 miles from Old Faithful and 5 miles from the Petrified Forest National Park.
Features. The Calistoga Wine Way Inn was converted from its original status as a Craftsman fashion family home to a bed & breakfast in 1978. Reputedly built for Leland Stanford, founder of Stanford University, the hotel was built with American white pine timbers shipped from South Carolina. Complimentary, full breakfasts, featuring the inn's signature bread and butter pudding, are catered every morning. A range of local wines, easy appetizers and cheeses are catered evenings. The breakfast room and parlor are enriched with original oak wainscoting, lead glass cabinets and a hearth. A multi level redwood deck is situated at the back of the major cottage. The deck and park regions give vistas of the Palisades. Pets are not allowed at this property.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Calistoga Wine Way Inn feature English and American antiques, with some bragging 4 placard beds. Furniture and accessories complement the original turn of the century beadboard walls. All lodgings comprise service baskets. Privy bathrooms are equiped with showers and/or soaking tubs, and feature updated fittings.
