Tranquil location. Maison Des Amis is situated in the historic region of city centre Breaux Bridge, La., neighboring to the 125 mile Bayou Teche River. The bed & breakfast is placed less than 2 blocks from the midst of city, and 1 block from old shops, gift boutiques, restaurants and cafes. The dance club La Poussiere is around one half mile from the bed & breakfast.
Features. This Creole/Caribbean fashion bed & breakfast stresses a circa 1810 2 suite bousillage made from adobe mud and moss, said to be the oldest historic structure in city. Complimentary Cajun/Creole breakfasts are catered at the bed & breakfasts' acclaimed Cafe Des Amis. Complimentary beverages are offered throughout the day. The hotel brags landscaped grounds and a gazebo with rattan rocking chairs. A glassed in porch and sunroom are enchased with wicker furniture. Concierge services are offered. Louisiana designers Messieurs Peter Curry, Robert Smith and Joel Theriot planned are embellished the rooms for guests. All lodgings feature high ceilings and antique cypress long leaf pinewood floors. Original art and antiques are showcased in every apartment.

Expert Tip. The Cafe Des Amis is housed in a historic building that was indigenously constructed as a one story general merchandise store, circa 1890. In 1894, a fire broke out and afterwards a 2nd story was added. Cafe´ Des Amis opened for work in 1992 and has carte menu items such as Crab Cakes, Lobster and Artichoke Bique, Pecan Crusted Trout Meuniere and Sweet Potato Bread Pudding.
