The Bennington Motor Inn is family runned and operated. All our visitor rooms provide lately embellished, cosy colonial fascination, and all modern comfort including privately-owned shower baths, colour cable tv, air conditioning, touch-tone telephones individual heat thermostats, and most importantly, a peaceful night's rest. We provide a range of local menus from district restaruants to guide you in your choice of dining. There's plenty to go through in historic Bennngton, and we'll send you on a day's outing with our trusty map. Just up the highway from us is the Bennington Museum, where you are able to stroll back through heritage and vista Revolutionary artifacts including the original Bennington Flag. The Grandma Moses Schoolhouse Museum features a superior range of originals. Just around the bend is the Old First Church... and up Monument Avenue with its stately ancient Colonials is the Bennington Monument. A short drive to the upper provides a scenic tri-state vista. then ther are 3 covered bridges... and more... We're just across the way from Hemmings Motor News, and a short ride to 18 holes panoramic hole golf or a quick-paced match of tennis. March back into heritage at the Bennington Battlefield in surrounding Walloomsac. Recent York. Ancient, craft and gift boutiques will lure you by day; and in the evening stay Bennington's Art Center which presents exhibits and cinema the year 'round. To the north of us close to Manchester there's Equinox Skyline Drive for really widely-known vistas, and perhaps a picnic snack high above the vale where Hildene (the home of Robert Todd Lincoln) able to be toured. Norman Rockwell fans love the gallery in Arlington. Then there's touring the Long Trail, or perhaps a swim in crystal Lake Shaftsbury. Whether you visit long enough there's cross-country skiing at surrounding Prospect Mouain, just 1 of the famous slopes within 30 miles of the Bennington Motor Inn (including Bromley, Brodie, Stratton and Mt. Snow.)
