The Inn features been softly and thoughtfully renewed to create the inviting ambiance of past luxury and elegance. The residence was planned in 1900 by Richard Sharp Smith, Supervising Architect for Biltmore House. Today it's an superb Bed and Breakfast provided with English and American antiques dating from 1670 to 1910. All of our refined suites have privately-owned adjacent baths, king size beds, and fireplaces. All bathrooms have showers. 4 bathrooms have gulf baths and 1 a clawfoot tub. Griffin Cottage, our recent carriage cottage features 3 luxurious lodgings: the William Morris suite and the Rossetti apartment on the 1st floor and the 1300 sq ft Cloisters as complete 2nd floor. Tumbled marble is used throughout for the floors and shower walls. All have detach showers with steam baths and 2 person whirlpools. The drawing room in the Cloisters has hand-carved paneling. All of Griffin Cottage is kids and pet welcoming with enclosed back terraces and doggy trundle beds in the first floor apartments.
