General Information

Tranquil location. The Amsterdam Castle is situated in historic Amsterdam, N.Y., 3 miles from the Amsterdam Municipal Golf Course. The Adirondack Park is 14 miles away. Famous Sacandaga Lake is 15 miles from the bed & breakfast. Albany is 30 miles away.
Features. This historic building was constructed in 1894 for the National Guard by the State of New York. Reconstructed as an intimate residence, this 50 suite facility has 4 turrets, 3 living quarters, reception desk suites, a portico and a ten, 000 piazza foot ballroom with soaring oak ceilings and a basketball gymnasium. The Kennedy Room, an immense suite for conferences, has hardwood floors, a hearth, prime woodwork and intricate fretwork. Complimentary mainland breakfasts are catered in the Kennedy Room or in the rooms for guests. The site has complimentary car parking in a ten auto garage and open-air parking zone for 40.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Amsterdam Castle propose privately-owned or shared bathrooms. The apartments are equiped with cable tv and additionaly wi-fi Internet access. Individualy colored apartments feature hardwood floors, antiques and high ceilings.
