Quaker Square Inn University Akron

General Information

One of the plurality particular hotels in the state built within the original Quaker Oats silos and situated on the University of Akron campus. The Inn occupies within 36 grain silos – standing 120 feet tall – that once housed 1. five million bushels of grain for the Quaker Oats Co. When the company ceased operations in Akron in 1970, the facility was converted to a hotel, which now is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and underlines a museum chronicling the transition from the Quaker Oats factory to a full amenities hotel.
