Transportation

On FootFrom the railroad station:- Turn left out of the station towards the Minster. - Cross the river by means of Landal Bridge. - At the 1st set of traffic lights, turn left on to Exhibition Square. Take the following left at the lights, to Bootham. - Take the 3rd left turn in to Bootham Terrace (just before you get to the Churchill Hotel).- Continue till the highway opens out, look right, and there we stand (10 minutes' walk). By CarFrom the South, through the A64:- Travel east on the A64. - Take the A1237 and continue for five miles, following signs to Thirsk (A19). - At the roundabout that intersects the A19, turn right (York), continue for two miles. - Look out for a broad hotel on your left: The Churchill. - Take the 1st right after the inn: Bootham Terrace. Continue till the highway opens out, look right, and there we stand. From Hull (the East):- After reaching York on the 1079, turn left down the A64 section of the ring road.- Then, take the A1237 till the A19 intersection.- Turn left for York, and continue for two miles. - Look out for a broad hotel on your left: The Churchill. - Follow as above.
