General Information

Avondale Guest House is an amiable mid terraced Victorian home dating back to the late 19th century, which features been tenderly restored to maintain its individual character and cordiality. The ambience is one of still comfort and existing amenities. Owned and administrated by Carole Kaleda, visitors are made to taste extremely welcome. The apartments are individualy colored, warm, comfortable and very cozy, clients able to enjoy some of the original has that remain a central topic to the inside of the cottage. A broad breakfast carte menu, including vegetarian, mainland and conventional alternatives using local just prepared ingredients is catered in our cosy breakfast room. We able to also organize champagne, bunchs of flowers and chocolates for our dear guests, should they demand it. For the personal comfort of our dear guests we will offer a self-sufficient car parking permit for your vehicle in an on highway car park whirlpool just a short stroll from the cottage. Near all of York's impressive heritage, old-fashioned walls and buildings, theatres and other park amusements, such as the Minster, Jorvik Viking Museum, Castle Museum and the National Railway Museum. We are also just a short amble from the race course for the annual calendar of race conferences and other occasions. Near gardens for marvellous meanders along the river, with simple links to the trans pennine walkways.
