General Information

Built in the 1880s and situated in the center of The Lake District in Windermere Village, Kays Cottage is a little, family run holiday hotel, providing top quality bed and breakfast lodging. We are greatly pleased to have been given a four star rating (excellent standard throughout) by Visit Britain which we have kept for over seven years. Our well proportioned double, twin and family visitor apartments all come entirely furnished with adjacent bathrooms which have electric showers, toilets and hand wash basins, color televisions and additionaly wi-fi. Our site in Windermere Village proposes a big variety of dining and shopping within two minutes stroll, and we are within five mins amble from national rail and bus services. Lake Windermere is a short meander down the hill from us at Bowness-on-Windermere. There are regular buses during the day and a plentiful supply of reasonably priced taxis. There is something for every person in the pretty neighbourhood. Fell strolling and water-based activities are rather popular, there are strolls on the level too. The Lake District is equally good for clients who just want an unspoiled break or to saunter around the enjoyable and several boutiques. Windermere and Bowness together propose over 35 restaurants and cafes with cuisine and prices to suit each taste and pocket. The Lake District is highly attractive and popular setting for wedding ceremonies and selebryties and celebrations.
