The inn is situated just a hundred yards from the centre of the town, in a tranquil backwater. The hotel is next to the celebrated cathedral and Winchester's most historic park amusements.

There is free access into the town by means of Winchester Rail Station or by the M3 Motorway. Other sights in the locality are Jane Austins House, Winchester Cathedral and Legoland.

This is a conventional white-wash hotel with lantern and flower baskets. It was constructed in the fifteenth century and it features been a bishop's cottage, a convent and, since 1870, a hotel. The inn also features a confidential courtyard and park with a seating region.
