General Information

Welcome to the Westgate Inn, Winchester. The Inn features operated since 1877 when the railways stretched their net from London. At that time a visit to the West-Country could take more than 2 days and journeys needed to be broken along the way. Much delighted by both work travelers and travellers alike. The informal atmosphere of the brasserie and lovely Indian cuisine in the Tiffin Club restaurant produce the hotel an accepted site. Plenty of of the clients return again and again having delighted the sincere reception and cosy apartments. A net of inns was developed along the route to accommodate tourists. Now the train takes merely an hour from London and Winchester is a hugely popular vacation heart with its attractive architecture and historic sites. Appropriately situated at the upper of the High Street facing the old-fashioned Westgate and a short stroll from the train station and Tower Street multi-storey car parking. Access from the M3 and A34 is easy and the railway station is several mins stroll away.
