General Information

The Halfway House Inn, St Jidgey is a family run Freehouse offering food, true ales, open fires with bed & breakfast lodging in five en -suite apartments, with both private car park and spacious pub parking. Check-in is obtainable 12-2 and 6-10 (7-10pm Sundays). You cannot check-in whilst the pub is closed. Once checked in you have your own entry to use at any time. Our roomy locally sourced and lately cooked carte menu is obtainable from 12-2pm and 6-9pm Monday to Saturday and on Sundays 12-2 (Sunday Roast Dinners) and 7-9pm (evening menu). We are situated in the north of Cornwall with its shining beaches, on the A39 between Wadebridge and St Columb Major, just two miles past the Royal Cornwall Showground. We are about 6 miles from Padstow, four miles from Wadebridge and ten miles from Newquay. With the Royal Cornwall Showground just up the highway we are in a good situation for visiting or as a base for tourism. The pub is within a short distance of some of Cornwalls largest park amusements, the Eden Project at St Austell, Lanhydrock House at Bodmin, Crealy Adventure Park, Port Isaac - home of Doc Martin, the haven city of Padstow, the Camel Trail (Bodmin Wadebridge Padstow), and the antique Saints Way footpath. Please take into account that all suites and decking regions are non smoking - there are designated smoking districts provided at the facade and back of the buildings. Visitors who smoke in their apartments will be asked to leave with no refund and be charged a supplemental fee to cover the cost of cleaning. Mattress Protectors are accessible by pre-arrangement. Please note that damage to property will be invoiced for and whether unpaid enforced via the County Court system.
