General Information

The Argyll is an accepted little hotel with a restaurant, sociable hall brasserie and the matchless social brasserie in Ullapool. We are famous for our live music and year-round amusement and propose weekly local music sessions, poker nights and a quiz in addition to a superior variety of fine quality live music from around the world and topic nights. The Argyll is an idle and hospitable site with a well stocked brasserie, genuine ales and draught ciders, cocktail carte menu, idyllic variety of malt whiskys and wines. We have a genuine log fire most of the all year. We are open for visitors to visit year-round at competitive rates in our little but homely apartments. We provide bed & breakfast, adjacent apartments and most suites also have marvelous views across the loch to the hills behind. We also have a spacious self-sufficient parking at the rear of the inn for visitors use. We are located in the North West Highlands in the fishing countryside of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom and propose a generous base for anyone craving to experience the countryside, the wonderful Highlands that surround us or to just sit on the sofa opposite the open fire with a dram. Only a minute's stroll from the very heart of the countryside, we goal to give an entertaining and recreational spot to stop in the Highlands. We provide a superior quality, locally sourced carte menu with weekly specials, lots of vegetarian choices in addition to a standard brasserie carte menu. We are open for breakfast in the spring and summer months and for suppers year round except for Jan- Mid Feb. Ullapools' tranquil location proposes clients a superb base to tour the Highlands. We are 60 miles North West of Inverness where there are rail and air links to all of the UK. The ferry terminal at Ullapool harbor runs a daily facilities to the Isle of Lewis. The nearby village proposes strolling and climbing. There is also many fishing accessible, in fresh water lochs, some rivers and the sea.

Transportation

Ullapool can be easily reached by highway from Inverness. Nearest airport is Inverness (55miles). Ullapool is also a major ferry terminal for the Western Isles with regular crossings to and from the Isle of Lewis. As you enter Ullapool go past the garage on your right with the loch on your left. At the combination turn right away from the loch then 1st left and the Argyll Hotel is on your right. We have an ample car parking to the back of the guesthouse.
