General Information

Dolgoch Falls Hotel is particular in its situation, being situated at the south western corner of Wales' Snowdonia National Park just five miles from the idyllic West Wales coastline. Both Tywyn and Machynlleth are not far from, with the charming village of Aberdyfi just 6 miles away. The guesthouse is located at the base of the Dolgoch Ravine and Waterfalls and just a short ride from the bottom of the pretty Cadair Idris, with Snowdon and the centre of Snowdonia being within simple get to. The Talyllyn narrow guage steam railway features a station just beyond the Hotel. The Hotel is family run and dates back in parts to the 13th century. We also have a well stocked brasserie for soothing. This location is the ideal place to unbend and relax. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets.


Transportation

Dolgoch is situated in Snowdonia National Park just 5 miles from the west beach of Wales along the good Afon Fathew vale, on the B4405. From Welshpool head towards Dolgellau turning left at the Cross Foxes Public House onto the A487, then turn right at Minffordd onto the B4405. Continue past the Talyllyn lake and via the countryside of Abergynolwyn. Dolgoch will be found on the left after about 2 miles. From Dolgellau head towards Welshpool turning directly at the Cross Foxes Public House and proceed as above. From Tywyn head towards Bryncrug on the A493 and then turn right onto the B4405. Proceed for about 2 miles and Dolgoch will be found on your right. The nearest mainline railway station is at Tywyn about five miles away.
