We are also perfectly placed for the International Air Tattoo held yearly in Fairford. The original building dates back to the early nineteenth century. We are located on the southern fringe of the Cotswolds. The Carpenters provides a pleasing harbor for the business traveler or treveller seeking tranquillity and stillness. The Carpenters Arms lies about three miles north of Swindon and is perfectly placed for visits to Bath, Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and a landlord of Cotswold beauty spots. 5 STAR AWARD The Carpenters Arms is an Oasis of charming food, quality beers and wines and prime value for money lodging. The newly given FSA 5-star award means you are able to have dinner with confidence, we are one of only several pubs Nationally to have been presented this rating. Home away from home: Working in Swindon but living in Cambridge makes it a bit difficult to commute. This B&B proposes an ideal spot to visit, firstrate food and is acceptable. The apartment is big enough, the shower ( I had the suite with the walk-in shower) is a treat. Powerfull, hot and roomy. I have stayed at 4**** hotels without this. The meals, within reason, able to be cooked to one's wishes and are constantly plentyfull. Breakfast: Please note the rates quoted are apartment only. Breakfast is obtainable byt prior arrangement at £7. 50 and is catered between seven.
