Transportation

From The North: From the A1 combine the A19 just North of Gosforth(Newcastle Upon Tyne). Travel via the Tyne Tunnel heading South, and follow the signs to Sunderland. Turn off the A19 and travel through Boldon, tranquil going South towards Sunderland. Having passed the Mill Garage and windmill on the right hand side turn left at the traffic lights. Follow the highway direct till you arrive to the Sea Front. Turn right and a mile up the hill on the right hand side is the Roker Hotel. From The South: Follow the A1 North till level with Durham and turn onto the A690 (signposted Houghton le Spring). Follow the highway till you get to Sunderland Town center. Follow signs for A184 to Newcastle across the Wearmouth Bridge. Having crossed the bridge follow the signs for the National Glass Centre, Roker and Sea Front. The inn will be on your left facing the pier.
