Transportation

From the North: From the A1 combine the A19 just North of Gosforth(Newcastle Upon Tyne). Travel via the Tyne tunnel going south, and follow signs to Sunderland. Turn off the A19 onto the A184 and travel through Boldon, peaceful going south towards Sunderland. Having passed the mill garage and windmill on the right hand side turn left at the traffic lights. Follow the highway direct till you arrive to the sea facade. Turn right and approximately half a mile up the hill on the right hand side is the Roker Hotel. From The South: Follow the A1 north till level with Durham and turn onto the A690(signposted Houghton le Spring). Follow the highway till you get to Sunderland city center. Follow signs for A184 to Newcastle across the Wearmouth bridge. Having crossed the bridge follow signs for the National Glass Cente, Roker and sea facade. The inn will be on your left facing the pier.
