Our Executive Chef, Mark Belsey who features previously worked at exclusive restaurants such as Le Caprice, Scotts of Mayfair and The Ivy, proposes an option of A la Carte and Table d'Hotel menus using only the freshest of local make. We able to even order St Ives Bay Sea Food Platters, Lobsters and Dressed Crabs whether you provide day and night notice (subject to availability). There is nowhere else entirely like it, welcome to The Porthminster. At the up-to-date time we are undergoing a renewal program at The Porthminster and, while we do not think this will have a negative impact on your visit, feel it is just fair to bring this to your care. The sea panorama are not affected and all the bedrooms are now renowated to a high standard. We are also having a fresh thermal facility built and this should be prepared by spring 2011. Till this time there will not be a swimming pool or thermal accessible and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

By Car - Follow the A3074 into St. Ives continue till you see The Porthminster on the right. By Train - The nearest station is St. Ives. There are frequent regular connecting services from St. Erth (on the London to Penzance mainline) to St. Ives. By Plane: The nearest airport is Newquay, with flights from plenty of UK regional airports.
