Whatever the time of year, the four star rated visitor lodging at the Driftwood Spars proposes a warm and hospitable welcome. It provides a peaceful vicinage in which to unbend and take pleasure in your vacation. This classical, family runned Cornish B & B also features an onsite breakfast room and microbrewery. Driftwood Spars is perfectly located in St. Agnes, a site of complementary contrasts, from woody valleys and deep dark tin mines, to light and graceful seascapes. There are carnivals, fetes and fairs, music and cinema, regattas and fishing contests going on all year round. There are also numerous charming galleries, potteries and design workshops. Pubs and eating-places abound and the countryside is leading for its antique pubs, including the Railway, a intimate bar, well known for its range of ancient shoes and memorabilia. The inn is a seventeenth centuty building full of heritage. The name ‘Driftwood Spars’ hints at its local heritage - the ceiling beams in the bars contain spars from some of the ships that have been wrecked in Trevaunance Cove, the local coast. All of our well furnished apartments are adjacent and some brag amazing views. A lot of parking zone is available and there is free wireless internet for visitors in the major building. Please take into account some apartments are situated in the annex across the (quiet) highway these do not have wifi, but are very appropriate for dog proprietors. In November 2008 the Driftwood Spars was given for it is pub dining experience, it gained a 'Taste of the West' Silver award for 2008 and agin in 2009. In April 2009 & 2010 we were named CAMRA Kernow pub of the year.
