Turtley Corn Mill features had a varied heritage, primarily built as a Mill, then converted into a great chicken hatchery, finally becoming a pub in the 1970's. The setting of Turtley is idyllic; situated in the chic and varied district of Avonwick, South Hams the original Mill is embedded in six acres of grounds bordered by the River Glazebrook, we even have our own little lake the whole with an island, ideal for sunny days and idle wandering. Perhaps surprisingly for such an alluring peaceful location, Turtley Corn Mill is comfortably situated only 2 mins from the A38 making it with easy reach from all directions. Turtley was completley refurbished in 2005. The interiors are light and graceful, with a noticeable absence of fruit machines, music, or pool tables, all thoughtfully replaced wth newspapers to read, books to browse, excellent food and beers and enchanting wines. We have 4 double en-suite suites here at Turtley, all with a a shower and 1 with a bath, and all are purposed and fitted out to the standard now expected by those who travel regularly. Every room is furnished with king-sized beds, duck feather and down duvets, Egyptian cotton linen, Sky independent panorama, flat screen TV’s, free i-net connection and powerful, vast showers, ipod docking station and other thoughtful additions for your comfort and leisure.
