It is just a short ride to plenty of impressive palaces such as Bamburgh, and Alnwick, with its spectacular terraces and fountains. From the haven at the other side of our countryside, regular boat trips will take you out to the Farne Islands nature reserve. We are also near Holy Island (Lindisfarne), the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot Hills. Nature admirers, walkers, cyclists, golfers and sea fitness enthusiasts all enjoy this region and there is no shortage of surrounding park amusements to suit all ages and tastes. For lunch, as well as the usual items, we provide a conventional English breakfast, expertly cooked and using locally sourced make, including the known 'Bamburgh Banger' from Carter's in Bamburgh. To produce breakfast as healthy as possible we grill rather than fry, and our eggs come fresh from the farm near our home.
