All the bathrooms are absolutely new and propose power showers, most likewise offer deep baths. Every room is equipped with tea/coffee making amenities, spectacular vistas, homely Vi-Spring beds and fine linen. Toiletries are offered from the Cath Collins collection and televisions with DVD players are available on the occasion of a demand. There is a toys suite with pool, ping-pong and Sky Sports for visitors delights. The open-air, Solar power heated swimming pool is open from April till September, and as whether this isn't enough, the terraces, newly compared to those of the Lost Gardens of Heligan by Channel 4's Ruth Watson, are yours to discover. Given a Five Star Gold Award for Guest Accommodation by Visit England for the 2nd year running (201111), Pentillie is not only a luxury spot to visit but is also imbibed with heritage. Primarily built in 1698 when James Tillie, a flamboyant businessman, built his majestic home on the Cornish bank of the River Tamar and erected a statue of himself outside. In 1809, the family had more money to play with, and commissioned 18th Century architect William Wilkins, famed for his Gothic flair, to transform Pentillie into a palace. However, by 1968, dated facilities and inheritance taxes led to the demolition of 3 wings, and the scaling down of this tremendous property to it is current size and layout. Pentillie Castle is obtainable prestigious hire, corporate conferences and meetings, in addition to relaxing weekends.
