General Information

Built nearly 800 years ago to cottage the draughtsmen working on the surrounding cathedral, this historic hotel, with its world outstanding creeper-clad patio (a refuge of peace in the town centre), features been in the ownership of the Maidment family for nearly 100 years and continues to welcome customers from close to and far. During new times plenty of up-to-date facilities have been incorporated within the frame-work of the classical style and ambiance of the original building, which to this day houses the reception desk, Victoria Lounge, '1220' Bar and some of the excellent individualy colored bedrooms. Located in the very heart of the South of England, Salisbury is the perfect place from which to stay a lot of historic and fascinating places, including Stonehenge, The New Forest, Wilton House, Salisbury Racecourse, Longleat, Stourheadand, certainly, Salisbury itself. The town holds plenty of old-fashioned buildings, The Market Square and the vivid Cathedral, encircled by its proud close, within which are 2 museums, Mompesson House and a lot of other charming buildings. The bedrooms are all en-suite, individualy colored and full of fascination and character. With all the amenities which the discerning visitor requires, such as cozy beds, satellite TV, radio, wi-fi, straight dial phone, hair dryer and a refreshment tray.
