The Beacon proposes Four Star lodging embedded in a 19th Century building the entire with stained glass windows on the attractively woody Tea Garden Lane. It has breathtaking views over our 17 acres of land and the nearby village, vistas which have barely altered since a Victorian guide book observed it to be 'as vivid as any England affords'. Advantageously located a five minute cab ride from the station, we are within a short distance of the Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells. The wonderful city of Grimbridge is 15 min drive, Penshurst Place 20 and Hever Castle ½ an hour. We are a ideal base for hole golf, cycling or fishing fans, with the nearest hole golf course two miles away and numerous more within 20-30 mins. Fishing is possible in any one of the lakes on our grounds. The Beacon is famous in Tunbridge for its magnificent restaurant offering present-day English/European cuisine, and is a member of Kentish Fair, with all food locally sourced where possible. Visitors are able to unwind on our outside decking district in the summer months, or by log fires in the oak paneled brasserie in the winter. Alternatively, take a stroll through our grounds the entire with a comprehensive treehouse for the kids, forests strolls, wildlife, lakes and 1 of the few authentic ‘chalybeate’ springs left in England.
