General Information

The Chasedale in Ross on Wye is a broad Victorian House built in 1870, ‘in the vale of the Chase’, the woody hill which peaceful provides an spectacular backdrop for the guesthouse. Although only 1/2 mile from the centre of the town it's comparatively solitary, being encircled by terraces extending to 3/4 of an acre, ample parking within the grounds. All of the services at the Chasedale come under the private supervision of the resident directors, specifically the cooking. The carte menu proposes a wide range of dishes including a detach vegetarian carte menu. Whenever possible, fruit, vegetables and herbs from the walled kitchen park are utilised. The Chasedale is a nice center from which to discover the lower reaches of the Wye Valley (ANOB) and the Forest of Dean to the south, the Malvern Hills and black and white countrysides of Herefordshire to the north, the Golden Valley, the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains to the west, and Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Cotswolds to the east.
