Star Inn Romsey

General Information

Located in the Test Valley and at the foot of the towns of Salisbury, Winchester and Southampton, just a short ride from the market place cities of Romsey and Stockbridge, the region is wealthy in local sights. The New Forest National Park is directly 10 minute away and surrounding National Trust property Mottisfont is one of the a lot of historic houses and terraces to stay. The bedrooms are in a little house in the grounds and face the countryside cricket green. All adjacent suites are personally styled, suitable and peaceful with the amenities you would expect from AA 4 star lodging. We try to encourage an ambiance of friendliness, leisure and informality, while simultaneously maintaining a high standard of facilities. We invite kids in the pub as long as they are under parental supervision, although we think pubs are for grown-ups in the evening. The Bar is everything that you would expect to find in a conventional state Inn. With deep purple walls, leather sofas, brasserie tables and chairs the ambiance is the entire with a roaring log fire throughtout the winter months. The scenic facade patio is a cute region in the summer. Dogs of the well behaved and on-the-leash diversity are welcome in the brasserie. The Star Inn Restaurant is a light cozy beamed suite where you can have a rest and enjoy mouthwatering food. From the canapes at the start of your dinner to the petit fours catered with coffee at the end of the meal, everything is made in our kitchen. Cricket is played on Saturday afternoon during the season, and there are regular occasions such as Folk Nights and Quiz Evenings during the week.
