General Information

The Bedford Arms Hotel is an ideal and hospitable grange hotel in the Chiltern countryside of Chenies, just 10 minutes from Junction 18 of the M25. Recently remodelled in a conventional English fashion, the hotel proposes 18 ideally equipped bedrooms, 2 bars and the great oak panelled restaurant, widely considered the best in the region. There are eighteen bedrooms, all of which propose full en-suite amenities and provided with all up-to-date facilities clients would expect. 10 of the bedrooms are personally designed are embellished in a classical style and eight recent modern planned bedrooms. These comprise 2 huge four-poster apartments, one of which features a Jacuzzi. The style and furniture and accessories capture the decor and ambiance of the inn. The most of bedrooms have magnificent views of either the guesthouse terraces or the Chiltern village. The Oak panelled restaurant, which faces the terraces, serves a conventional dishes and a spacious wine catalogue, which has just been recognised by being given an AA rosette for super food. The Head Chef will be pleased to accommodate any specific requests that clients may have, if it be a unique dietary requirement, or just a dislike or desire for a unique type of food. These are 2 bars for visitors to enjoy at The Bedford Arms. The Shire Bar is a social brasserie open for Lunch and Dinner where clients will uncover a varied lunch carte menu, offering everything from a little bite to eat to a three-course meal. The Cocktail Bar is used by dwellers and diners alike, and is the ideal setting for a pre-dinner drink before experiencing the A la Carte carte menu in the major restaurant, or retreating for a post dinner coffee or nightcap before retiring to your suite. Hertfordshire is one of the home counties and located just north of London with Essex to the east, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire to the north and Buckinghamshire to the west. The great sights in Hertfordshire are Hatfield House (Hatfield), Knebworth House (Knebworth), St Albans Cathedral, Hertford Museum, Berkhamsted Castle, Shaws Corner (a National Trust Property). Transportation

By Car: From mix 18 of M25 follow sign posts towards Amersham on the A404. Follow the highway for two miles and then take the right hand turn towards Chenies and Latimer. On the turning there is a sign for The Bedford Arms Hotel. You'll find the inn situated on the right hand side of the highway five hundred meters from the A404. By Rail: The nearest station is Chorleywood Underground Station. This is on the Metropolitan Line and is one and a half miles from the Hotel. By Air: The hotel is located 25 miles from Heathrow, 45 miles from Gatwick and 22 miles from Luton.
