Since the reign of Richard II The Whyte Harte Hotel features offered prime foods, true ales and joy to tourists. Located in the scenic historic countryside of Bletchingley, The Whyte Harte Hotel is one of the few surviving Medieval Inns in Britain today and is steeped in heritage. Said to date back to 1388, it possesses wooden beams, which are believed to be from ships of the time. Bletchingly, was mentioned in the Doomsday book and therefore evidence of its existence able to be traced back to Saxon times. Avenue. Mary's church in front of the Whyte Harte dates back to 1100. A lot of of the original has of the pub able to be seen today. The original fire grate dates back to 1613 and there is even a bakers oven in a recess. The property features also had more practical uses. In the eighteenth Century it was used for what was called at the time rotten' parliamentary elections and it is hard to believe that Bletchingley returned 2 members of parliament whilst the somewhat larger town of Manchester returned none! Transportation

Exit the M25 at blend 6 and head towards Godstone on the A2235. Follow signs for Bletchingley on the A25 and you'll find us on the high boulevard on the left. From Redhill, follow signs for the A25 towards Godstone and as you pass through Bletchingley you'll see us on your right.
