Hillside Cottage lies in the center of the historic countryside of Ireshopeburn. It's a homely 2 hundred year ancient 2 bedroom terraced house facing the River Wear. The house is entirely extraordinary in that it actually sits in the hill, hence the name. Outside is a little courtyard park the whole with park furniture and bbq and is perfect for soothing in after a day hiking the region. The courtyard park able to be accessed from the ground floor. Although sheltered the courtyard park is not totally enclosed. Interior there are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. The major bedroom features a double bed & single bed. The smaller room is equipped a single bed. A cot is also accessible. Downstairs there is a lounge/diner, kitchen and bathroom. In the bathroom there is bath with shower over. The kitchen features all modern comfort including fridge/ freezer, microwave, washer/ dryer, electric cooker. In the lounge/ diner there is a tv and DVD player.
