The warmest of welcomes awaits you at Roseneath, home of Sarah Clarke and Robert. Constructed in 1881, when Oban was expanding as a Victorian treveller resort, Roseneath was constructed as a family home for a Mr and Mrs Porter and their nine kids. Today the cottage stands as a testament to the delightful craftsmanship of those days, from its solid granite exterior to the picturesque internal plasterwork of the ornate ceilings and splendid original Oregon pine staircase. However, there is nothing dated approximately the amenities, comfort and amenities offered to contemporary visitors. We are happily located on Dalriach highway one st up from the Main shopping area/Restaurants/Ferry/Train & Bus links/Corran Halls/McCaigs Tower and are right next to the Atlantis Sports and swimming pool. Our passion for home comforts, We propose an idle atmosphere and Scottish cordiality, along with breakfasts with locally sourced ingredients and all that is vivid from Scotland. Menus are ready using, wherever possible, fresh Scottish ingredients and we are glad to serve for vegetarian and specific dietary needs (though we would ask that these be highlighted at the point of booking). A conventional Highland breakfast is catered between 8. 00 - 9. 00am in the breakfast room, in addition to healthy and mainland alternatives, including locally sourced cheeses. The range of choice on the breakfast cafeteria features become entirely a feature of Roseneath cordiality. We are glad to give packed breakfasts for visitors who have to leave for early ferries. Lodging consists seven double and one twin suite but we are happy to welcome single tourists when availability permits. 3 of the front-facing apartments have the extra leisure of their own privately-owned living room adjoining the bedroom. We are glad to welcome clients arriving in Oban on late ferries from the Islands.
