Hello, and welcome to The Tithe Barn Bed and Breakfast in Cottesmore, which is a vivid stone countryside in the unspoiled shire of Rutland. There is a local thatched pub (The Sun), countryside store and Post Office and a matchless Fish and Chip cafe. The original cottage was constructed of the beauteous local stone over 5 centuries ago and holds a lot of particular has - notably the "Dovecote". We have our forest pannelled breakfast room where we cater tasty lately cooked breakfasts, using locally sourced make where possible. Local news on places to have dinner, local pub menus, and details of local attractions to stay are also in the breakfast room. All of the rooms have all you need for your staying, some having vistas over the park. We provide 5 apartments in the major cottage and 2 more excellent rooms with superking-sized beds on the 1st floor in the picturesque house annexe - one with an enchanting greenhouse facing the park. Rutland itself is a greatly scenic shire with plenty of countrysides having enjoyable pubs/restaurants including one with a Michelin Star. The 3 market place cities of Oakham, Stamford and Uppingham are within simple get to as are the larger towns of Peterborough, Leicester and Nottingham. We are just 2 miles from Rutland Water which provides a variety of activities cycling,windsurfing,fishing,walking,sailing and birdwatching. There are lots of attractive and historical state houses, palaces and estates including Burghley House, Rockingham & and Belton House (NT).
