General Information

Laggan Hotel is situated in the Cairngorm National Park and sits in an elevated situation encircled by spectacular views of both the Cairngorms and Monadhliath Mountails. The guesthouse is in a quiet setting and lends itself to a tranquil and tranquil Highland escape. The tranquil location is a captivating treveller base for the Highlands of Scotland. As you beginning to unbend in our greenhouse, you are sure to feel the calmness wash over you as you adore the mountain vistas, as the scenery rolls down into the nearby lush village. Within the Cairngorm National Park open-air activities are abound, such as the inn being in the immediate vicinity of three courses in golf, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, pony trekking, hill strolling, path strolling, clay pigeon shooting, sleighing, and skiing in season. Alternatively there are lots of whisky distilleries not far from, Blair Castle, Culloden etc. We cater tasty meals and customers can relax in the warm, homely, homey bar or greenhouse witha drink which features genuine fires. The guesthouse is family run and each effort will be made to produce your visit as cordial as possible. Opening 2008 our Model Railway will amuse the youngsters (and maybe the not so young as well).

Transportation

From THE SOUTH: From Perth, travel alonge the A9 highway and turn off at Dalwhinnie. From Dalwhinne, 8 miles on the A889 and follow the signs for Laggan. At mix turn right, guesthouse is 1 mile on the right hand side. From THE NORTH: From Inverness, travel along the A9 and turn off at the Kingussie Junction. Travel through Kingussie to Newtonmore, when you take the A86 cut off. Guesthouse is approx five miles on the left hand side. From THE WEST: Travelling along the A82 turn off at Spean Bridge and travel along the A86 for approx 27 miles until your get to Laggan. By COACH: Regular coaches run from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness all stop at Newtonmore. Rail: Trains from the North and South stop at Kingussie and Newtonmore.
