The Galloway Arms Hotel began in 1750 with it is original builder and founder Alexander Stewart, Lord Garlies the 6th Earl of Galloway. Initially a Coaching Inn the guesthouse now brags 18 up-to-date bedrooms, 2 bars and a restaurant. The guesthouse sits in the midst of Newton Stewart a tranquil rustic city in the centre of Galloway. The guesthouse features private car park and a drive in garage as well a lonely park at the back. All apartments are adjacent, have central heating, tea and cofffee making amenities and colour television. There is a confidential dwellers hall on the ground floor showing Sky Sports in addition to live soccer and other sports in our recent and highly up-to-date Public Bar. Transportation

From A75 take either entry to Newton Stewart. Guesthouse is is the midst of the principal street in front of the city steeple and clock. From A714 from Girvan, follw the highway till you see the city hall clock and steeple. The inn is direclty across the highway. The guesthouse garage and parking is down Victoria Lane at the side of the inn.
