General Information

Directly facing Lake Windermere in 5 acres of graceful grounds, Newby Bridge Hotel is the ideal place to visit in the Lake District. The Hotel has just been renovated and stretched, and provides quality lodging, roaring log fires, spare time facilities and a personal jetty- not forgetting the nice food. We provide 41 bedrooms including 12 Four Poster suites with adjacent thermal baths, all furnished with everything you'll need when staying away from home. There are also several bedrooms located in the Hotels patio which are good for families. 5 acres of parks with privately-owned jetty on Lake Windermere and fishing rights await you as does our privately-owned relaxation heart, prestigious to hotel visitors, with pool, thermal pool, mini gymnasium and steam apartment. The Oak-panelled restaurant and 'The Huntsman's Inn' is our conventional brasserie, our restaurant carte menu changes daily and proposes a big variety, using locally grown fresh make whenever possible, much of it from our own Victorian kitchen park. We provide particular menus for vegetarians and kids. Newby Bridge Hotel features its own mooring on Lake Windermere and hotel dwellers may fish from here. For the less energetic, the hotel’s Mediterranean terraces and gardens give a quiet refuge. There is a lot to experience and do locally, including fishing, strolling, galleries and more, we are perfectly located to investigate all the Lake District can offer. Please take into account kids under 16 must be supplemented by an adult in the suite (over 16 years old). Family suites are accessible for a maximum of two groun-ups only.
