General Information

An astonishing Edwardian hotel embedded in the idyllic town of Montrose, home to the 5th Oldest Golf Course in the world and within short distance of Montrose Beach, with 3 miles of golden sand.

The hotel itself is located on the historic Mid Links. It's a past townhouse and a advised choice for individual visitors, clients, groups & functions. It proposes quality and person bedrooms and above all a warm & familiar atmosphere. Our 2007 renewal plan will see another five luxury rooms and four more excellent rooms added.

Restaurant and Coffee House
The A'La Carte Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner six days a month and features accessible a capacious carte menu which is changed regularly throughout the year; usually in line with the season to produce use of local make and products. In fact, the Executive French Head Chef, Franc Rivault features been with the guesthouse for over 10 years and been presented One AA Rosette for food quality and facilities.

There is also an unofficial fashion “Koffiehuis” for you to unbend all day and nurse a cup of coffee, have a lazy snack or fast snack; the choice is the visitors!

Bars and entertainment
Opposite reception desk is a little cocktail lounge for visitors to unbend and in the summer months enjoy a meal out on the balcony and all year round different Folk, Jazz and Classical in the evenings able to be booked to comprise dinner and amusement. On Sundays the guesthouse serves a Carvery snack and Grill in the evening with peculiar prices for kids and senior citizens. The venue is also ideal for any event, if it be work or fun.

We also regularly showcase and sponsor local Angus art exhibitions and activities.

Business
With a lovely Traditional Drawing apartment in the major cottage and a aim built conference and function center on the 1st floor next to the inn there is lots of probabilities and options attainable to you. Full breakfast is included in all the apartment rates. Breakfast is catered from seven: 30am till 9: 30am during the month and from 8: 00am to ten: 00am on the weekend. This is catered on the 1st floor and in the Conservatory every morning. Visitors have an option of cereals, fruits and juices from the snack bar and we will take your order for tea/coffee, toast and hot breakfast.

The Koffiehuis is open each day except on Sundays, the Koffiehuis opens at 10:00. Guests and customers are welcome to enjoy a relaxing cup of tea/coffee alone while reading the paper or along with friends, family, kids or colleagues. Till 17: 00 we cater an option of mainland coffees, teas, home-made pastries, croissants and a broad snack carte menu is also accessible with an option of newly made soup, banquettes, paninis, baked potato’s and much more.

Lunch and Dinner
The A'La Carte Restaurant is obtainable to be booked beforehand for formal snacks and dinners and we are glad to create a carte menu for you whether required. The restaurant is open 6 days a month Monday to Saturday from 12noon to 1430 and 1800 to 2100 (2130 on a Saturday).
Sundays open for Carvery Lunch from 12noon to 1430 and then for a Mixed Carvery and Grill in the evening from 1800 to 2100.

The Links is famed for its pleasant dining restaurant where the ambiance is delicate and the cuisine refined. For the past 3 years we have been presented one AA Rosette in recognition of the high standard of food and amenities. Mr. Franc Rivault, our Executive head cook and his team will delight you with an thrilling blend of Scottish and Continental cuisine.
