General Information

Grey House is an Edwardian property encircled by majestic and established terraces, embedded in a tranquil and privately-owned region just five minutes drive from the moors and ten mins from the beach. Grey House lacks any trace of stuffiness and features an affluence of easy-going cordiality. It's an Edwardian property built in 1910, encircled by fascinating terraces, with trees, shrubs, conifers, rose and herbaceous borders. Adornment and furniture and accessories are in keeping with the character of the idyllic Edwardian building. The friendly atmosphere will immediately put you at ease. It's a 10-15 mins amble from The Dorman Museum, The Captain Cook gallery and Stuart’s Park, the whole with lambs, goats, sheep, owls and even squirrels that are tame enough to feed! The city center is only fifteen mins stroll, while the railway station is a 5-10 minute taxi ride away. Whether hiking further, we are ten minutes drive from Redcar and the beach, 30-40 mins from Whitby and 45 mins from Yarm and the cathedral towns of Durham and York. Rest in the visitor living room, which features vistas over the park lawn, or the refined dining room, where you are sure to enjoy a charming home-cooked breakfast.
